Local Exchange Providers/Companies are listed alphabetically under each state they serve. A potential customer (website user) can look at your listing to determine facts about your company to determine who they want to call for more information and hopefully to sign-up for local telephone service. Our website pages are optimized for the search engines and as such we have had many 'hits' for people looking for Local Exchange Carriers by state. You can look at what website page a user entered our site on (which indicates what they were searching for) by going to: "http://www.telephoneservicedirectory.com/webstat/" (data started May '03), select the most recent month, then scroll down to the Top X of X Total Referrers and finding a TelephoneServiceDirectory link that ends in: .../LEC/l_??acpf.htm (where ?? is a state abbreviation). Another tool which shows recent entry pages is by clicking at the counter at the bottom of this page, then go to the heading Recent Visitors and click 'By Entry Pages'. A final location for website hits is by selecting the image ('planet' in a dark blue square) in the upper left hand corner of our home page. Our listings are displayed under the state(s) you serve. If you only serve a portion (LATA, Area Code, etc.) of a state, this information is displayed in your listing in the field "Area Served:". If you serve more than one state, the information displayed in this field will be unique to the state the user is looking at. When the listings are displayed, they are shown alphabetically by Company Name. As you can see by the example, we provide the following information (some fields are optional) about your company to help a potential customer decide who to call:
